bau 9: blind offline, opening 9.10.05 6pm

iccipoo@gmail.com meets graystraightjacket@yahoo.com
a complex tale of words and ideas transmitted solely via e-mail. iccipoo and graystraightjacket
embark an experimental collaboration, communicating only electronically. The ensuing works,
perhaps diptychs, possibly alone, are only familiar to their respective creators.

Reflecting society’s indulgence with electronic communication, iccipoo and graystraightjacket are
tapping their creativity to investigate the effectiveness of electronic communication.
Will their ideas, only written and never verbally communicated, connect?
Can the electronic convenience replicate the personal?

On the Second Saturday in September, the resulting works will be seen together for the first time
by the artists at the opening reception. A guest curator has been invited to assemble the exhibition,
also electronically. He has been presented with the concept, and will arrive at the gallery, find the works of both artists, left but not introduced. iccipoo and graystraightjacket, together at bau 161 Main Street Beacon, NY, 12508
